Why Choose EduCareer

Teacher first?

Teacher first?EduCareer has the information, expertise and experience to enable you to make the right career choice. After careful consultation we aim to match candidates to the position most suited to them.

After your initial interview we will talk about your ideal position, your ideal school, type of classes and your ideal working conditions. We then try to match you to your best position after carefully consulting your potential school, who will then invite you for a school interview.

We aim to support our teachers through the recruitment process as well as during their working time within a school. Our teachers are not simply teachers but educators and therefore our priority; we ensure we do everything possible to work in partnership with teachers and schools alike. Giving support does not mean we will interfere with your daily school life; we aim to be here to support you with whatever you need and our team of dedicated staff is always available for advice or help should you need it.

Direct hire?

Direct hire? We actively support direct hire contracts between schools and teachers when mutually agreeable to both parties. Direct hire contracts not only benefit teachers but also the school and students. Have you ever felt like you are not really a part of the team and treated differently to other teachers? With a direct hire contract the teacher can get involved in all aspects of school life, building a closer and more productive relationship with students and other teachers, allowing them to be a fully integrated part of their school and fulfill their role as an educator rather than just an “English teacher.” If you are interested in becoming a truly valued member of the school staff, direct hire could be a good option for you.

Direct hire contracts are ideally aimed at those who plan to stay in Japan long term and are committed to a career in education.

Not assistant?

Not assistant? We have a wide range of teaching subject and teaching style opportunities within the Japanese school system, the majority of our teachers are not ALTs, they are solo teachers responsible for all aspects of their class.

Have you ever felt frustrated in an assistant type role at your school? Assistant Language Teacher positions seem to be everywhere at the moment, and while the term “ALT” seems to mean something different depending on your school and the other teachers around you. Many teachers are not fully integrated into classes despite being capable of running the class.

A position with us will not simply be an assistant requires a lot of hard work and dedication, everything from planning, curriculum design and grading could be your responsibility as a solo teacher. Whether you are a qualified teacher or a current ALT looking to upgrade your career a position with us could be what you are looking for.
