A high level private school in central Tokyo is looking for a teacher who can teach academic writing for admission to elite universities in English-speaking countries. If you meet the qualification requirements, get in touch with us ASAP.

Full-time position will be in teaching both writing and English literature.

Part-time position will be writing instruction only.

Please indicate your preference as to the number of days you would like to work.

Contract Period: April 1st 2024 to March 31 2025
Annual Salary: From around 6,000,000yen (before tax) + transportation
* Full time, depending on qualifications and background
Insurance: Social insurance and employment insurance
Days: Mon - Fri + some weekends
* Remote work is possible, but requires weekly attendance.
Hours: 8:00-16:30
Lessons: Writing and English Literature
- Lesson preparation
- Curriculum and material development
- Essay corrections
- Making exams, assessment, grading, test proctoring
- Supporting an exchange program
- Supporting students who aim to enter overseas universities
- Speech contests and open schools
- Homeroom duties (full-time)

＜Qualification Requirements＞
* Must have a bachelor's degree or higher
* Majored in English, writing or related majors
* Min 5 years teaching experience in academic writing, college writing preparation, or related classes
* Experience teaching students from English speaking countries
* Ability to make effective and interesting lessons to enhance student learning
** Working visa holders preferred but will consider overseas applicants depending on experience and ability
